Dr. Arslan Shafique is a renowned researcher and academic specializing in wireless data security, secure communication, and artificial intelligence (AI) with extensive experience across the UK, Middle East, and South Asia. Currently, he serves as a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow’s School of Electronic and Nanoscale Engineering (UK), where his work focuses on developing hybrid quantum‑classical cryptosystems and real-time driver fatigue detection models. His innovations contribute to strengthening data confidentiality and securing the growing ecosystem of Internet of Things (IoT) and smart healthcare applications. Dr. Shafique holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity and Healthcare.  Dr. Shafique’s research expertise includes secure data transmission, chaos and quantum-based encryption schemes, lightweight image and data protection methods for IoT, machine-learning-assisted phishing and spoofing attack detection, and deep-learning applications for healthcare and diagnostics. He is also a Lead Guest Editor for several journals for journals in cybersecurity, data protection, and related fields. His research contributions have been recognized by the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) with Global Talent endorsement and by Stanford University’s list of the world’s top 2% of scientists in both 2023 and 2024.
