Hongchul Shin

Hongchul Shin is a researcher in biophysics working at the intersection of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and computational biology. His work focuses on the role of proteins in transdisciplinary phenomena, particularly through molecular dynamics simulations and quantum machine learning approaches.
His research encompasses computational biology applications utilizing quantum algorithms and quantum machine learning, focusing on intrinsically disordered protein classification, the mechanical and dynamical properties of proteins, and quantum computing–driven prediction of material properties.
He has held associate researcher positions at leading institutes including Seoul National University, Korea University, and Changwon National University, where he has worked on nano‑biofluidics, machine design, and mechatronics systems.
