JungHun Choi

Dr. JungHun Choi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Southern University. His research focuses on the design and simulation of medical devices, robotics, mechatronics, hardware control systems, and sensor technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and degrees in Automotive Engineering from Kookmin University, Korea.

Dr. Choi has an extensive background in both academia and industry, with research contributions in flexible endoscopes, bioimpedance measurement, and smart robotic systems. He holds multiple U.S. patents in medical device innovation and has secured significant research funding from academic, governmental, and private sectors. A member of ASME and ASEE, Dr. Choi actively serves on editorial boards and as a reviewer for numerous international journals. He has held prior academic appointments at Ohio University and Penn State University, and has led and contributed to various research and engineering projects involving medical robotics, navigation systems, and automated mechanical systems.
