Prof. Dr. Yanli Song

Professor Yanli Song is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Automotive Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Light Superalloys, Wuhan University of Technology, China. His research focuses on the plastic forming of lightweight materials and the microstructure and property control of advanced materials, with particular emphasis on automotive lightweight manufacturing and advanced metallic materials. He leads the Hubei "Chutian Yingcai Plan" Science and Technology Innovation Team and serves as a member of several prestigious national academic and industrial organizations related to materials engineering, automotive manufacturing, and lightweight technologies. He also serves on the editorial boards of several international journals and is an active reviewer for leading materials science and engineering journals.
Professor Song has published more than 150 research papers, including 4 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 2 ESI Hot Papers, and holds over 50 national and international invention patents. His research contributions have been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including the IAAM Scientist Medal (2022), the First Prize of the Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award (2024), the Second Prize of the Chinese Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award (2024), and the First Prize of the Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress Award (2020). His outstanding achievements have established him as a leading researcher in advanced materials processing, lightweight alloys, and intelligent manufacturing technologies.
