André Mateus Bertolino
Dr. André Mateus Bertolino is a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) and a researcher at the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR), Brazil. He holds a Ph.D. in energy transition and sustainability, with part of his doctoral research completed at the University of Naples "Parthenope" in Italy. His work focuses on energy transition, ESG strategies, sustainability governance, innovation policy, and environmental justice, often bridging public policy and rural innovation.
Dr. Bertolino has authored impactful research, including a widely cited article on biogas development published in Energy Research & Social Science and a chapter in a Springer volume on sustainability in engineering education. He actively engages in community projects on environmental education and sustainable management and has contributed to regional and international academic events as a speaker, evaluator, and reviewer. His current academic efforts involve developing new publications on smart energy systems and climate governance.
