Perini PraveenaSri

Dr. Perini PraveenaSri is a distinguished academic in the field of Economics, currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Social Sciences, ICFAI University. With over 20 years of professional experience, she has taught a broad range of subjects including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Energy Economics, International Economics, Environmental Economics, Public Finance, and more.

Her research interests focus on Energy Economics, Rural Economics, and Development Economics. She has independently led five nationally sponsored research projects supported by the Ministry of Rural Development (NIRD) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (IGIDR). She also actively mentors postgraduate and doctoral students.

Dr. PraveenaSri holds a Post-Doctorate and Ph.D. in Energy Economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research and the University of Hyderabad, respectively. She is a gold medalist and first-rank holder in her Master’s program from Nagarjuna University. Her academic contributions have earned her several honors, including the Best Teacher Award from MHRD and the prestigious Kalpana Chawla National Award for Research Excellence from ESSO-INCOIS, Government of India.

She has published extensively in reputed journals indexed by Scopus, Springer Nature, and IEEE, and has participated in numerous national and international conferences. Her career spans academic roles across India and abroad, including Ethiopia, and she continues to contribute significantly to research and teaching in the field of economics.
