Venkata Rao

Prof. Ravipudi Venkata Rao is a distinguished mechanical engineering academic with over 34 years of teaching and research experience, including 20 years as a full professor. He currently serves at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, an Institute of National Importance in India. He holds a D.Sc. (Habilitation) in Technical Sciences from Cracow University of Technology, Poland (2017), a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani (2002), an M.Tech. from IIT-BHU, and a B.Tech. from Nagarjuna University.

Prof. Rao is internationally recognized for his contributions to optimization algorithms and thermal engineering, as evidenced by his inclusion in Stanford University's prestigious Top 2% Most Influential Scientists list for both career-long and single-year citation impact in the field of Industrial Engineering & Automation.
